Open Position: Customer Engineer
The ObjectFX Customer Engineer works closely with senior sales reps in pre- and post-sales situations. The Customer Engineer is tasked with understanding the customer environment and communicating internally and externally how ObjectFX solutions fit into customer environments. We currently have three openings for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Proof of concept engagements and building customer software demonstrations
- Installing ObjectFX solutions in customer environments
- Teaching customers to install and manage ObjectFX solutions
- Assisting the product development team and product marketing team
- Gathering customer technical requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years application engineer or systems engineer experience
- 5+ years programming in Java (preferred), C++, or C#, with experience designing and programming for both embedded systems and web deployments
Desired Skills and Experience:
- GIS programming experience
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work on site for extended periods
- Pre-sales experience for a software vendor
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
