Nick Thomey

President

ImageNick Thomey directs all of the activities of the ObjectFX management team, and is responsible for the company’s strategic planning as well as its day-to-day operations. Prior to his appointment as President in October 2005, Nick was Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for the day-to-day operations of ObjectFX, as well as direct oversight of the company’s customer support, professional services and commercial sales efforts. He has been instrumental in leading the company's renewed focus toward commercial enterprise applications, and a driving force behind FleetFX, the company’s targeted solution in the transportation vertical.

Prior to his appointment as Chief Operating Officer in July 2004, Nick managed the company’s customer support and professional services groups. From December of 1992 through September of 1993, Nick was Manager of Business Development at Ultimap Corporation, the predecessor company to ObjectFX. From June 1984 until December of 1992, Nick was a Naval Aviator in the U.S. Navy, attached to various helicopter squadrons on the Pacific Coast and Far East. Nick earned a bachelor of arts degree in geography from Dartmouth College and master's of business administration from the University of West Florida.
 

Steve Panzer

Vice President, Government Division

ImageSteve Panzer oversees the government division and has developed it into one of the most productive and fastest growing parts of ObjectFX. His team has established ObjectFX and SpatialFX as well known names in the government marketplace, especially within the Department of Defense and intelligence communities. Steve has spent over 20 years in the high technology field in a variety of sales, sales management, and program management positions.

Prior to joining ObjectFX, he was Vice President of Business Development and the creator of the Imaging Division of Century Computing. During his tenure, the company more than doubled in size and revenue. Previous to that, he served as Manager of Government Programs at both Pixar and Vicom. Earlier roles included very successful sales positions with Gould and Zeiss. Steve worked on his master's of business administration in Finance at Pace University and earned his bachelor of science from City University of New York.
 

David Hemphill

Chief Technology Officer

ImageDavid Hemphill leads the company's technical direction and is responsible for aligning the product's architecture with the business vision. David has over 16 years of experience in the information technology field as an architect and developer. He has written numerous articles on mobile and wireless computing and is the co-author of Java 2 Micro Edition (Manning Publications). David is also a member of the expert group that created the Sun Certified Mobile Application Developer exam. He has also spoken about GPS, mobile and wireless technologies at industry conferences such as JavaOne and OOPSLA.

Before joining ObjectFX, David was the Lead Architect for Gearworks, Inc., a company that provides wireless mobile workforce management solutions. During his three years at Gearworks, David worked closely with engineering teams within wireless carriers and device manufacturers to develop GPS-based dispatching and tracking software for mobile phones and PDAs. Previous to Gearworks, David worked as a consultant, with start-up and fortune 500 companies alike, to create enterprise-scale web and network-based products and services.

David received a bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a Computer Science minor from the University of Wisconsin. He has also pursued graduate studies in technology through the University of St. Thomas.
