Long before terrorist threats were brought to the forefront by the 9/11 attacks, ObjectFX sofware was deployed in federal and local government programs designed to guard the safety of our citizens and our physical infrastructure.

ObjectFX employs sales, technical and services staff who hold TS/SCI clearances to enable us to collaborate with homeland security officials on developing solutions that are critical to our nation’s security.
See how ObjectFX is spatially-enabling the Unified Incident Command and Decision Support (UICDS) architecture.
Benefits
Some of the direct benefits that ObjectFX products offer in the homeland security field include:
- Equipping first-responders with the tools to respond more quickly, more efficiently and with better knowledge of local conditions
- Empowering officials and managers with the ability to track personnel, assets and resources
- Providing real-time situational awareness through a common operational picture
- Providing a geospatial backdrop for contingency planning and evacuation routes
- Enabling fusion of geospatial, demographic, historical and other data for intelligence analysts
- Providing real-time spatiotemporal analysis of tracked objects for detection and deterrence of terrorist threats
Sample Applications
Many of the deployments of ObjectFX software in the homeland security field are classified. Below are some prototypical examples showing some of the capabilities of our deployed systems.
Plume Analysis
Plume analysis shows the potential dispersion pattern and characteristics of a chemical or other type of incident.
Port Security
Port surveillance using SpatialFX for visualization and SpatialRules for analysis of vessel tracking data. Spatiotemporal rule processing, combined with business and operational data, can flag suspicious or dangerous conditions, such as a recreational vessel in a commercial area, a vessel moving in the wrong direction in a entry or exit lane, or a container with doors open outside of a customs inspection zone.
Port Security Critical Infrastructure Protection
In this example, vehicles entering the vicinity of the Golden Gate Bridge are tracked. Events generated by SpatialRules indicating entry, exit and other conditions are output in KML and displayed in Google Earth™.
